The Full Story
Empowered Advocacy & IEP Consulting
Navigating the special education system can feel overwhelming. Meetings are complex, paperwork is dense, and parents are often asked to make critical decisions without clear guidance or support. EmpowerED Advocacy & IEP Consulting exists to change that experience.
We partner with families to bring clarity, confidence, and collaboration to the IEP process. As an Educational Consultant & IEP Advocate, our role is to help parents understand their child’s educational needs, prepare for meetings, and communicate effectively with school teams—so decisions are informed, student-centered, and aligned with real progress.

Why This Work Matters
IEPs shape a child’s educational experience, access to services, and long-term outcomes. When families feel unsure or unheard, opportunities can be missed. We believe parents deserve clear explanations, respectful collaboration, and support that honors both the child and the family.
Our work focuses on:
-
Ensuring student strengths and needs are accurately reflected
-
Supporting families in understanding evaluations, goals, and services
-
Reducing stress and confusion during meetings
-
Promoting collaborative, solution-focused conversations with schools
Advocacy does not have to be adversarial. With preparation, knowledge, and the right support, families can participate confidently and constructively.

How We Support Families
Empowered Advocacy provides practical, individualized support designed to meet families where they are. Together, we focus on understanding your child’s needs, preparing for meetings, and navigating the IEP process in a way that feels manageable and collaborative.
Support includes:
-
IEP meeting preparation and attendance
-
Review of IEPs, evaluations, and progress data
-
Behavior and BIP consultation
-
Parent education and coaching
Services are available virtually across Washington State and in person in Kitsap County, offering flexibility for busy families. Out of state options are also available. However, meetings and phone calls will be scheduled based on the Pacific Time Zone.

A Supportive, Collaborative Approach
I believe advocacy should be accessible. Sliding-scale options are available for families experiencing financial hardship, and care is taken to ensure services remain supportive, respectful, and affordable. Every family deserves guidance and advocacy—regardless of income or background.

Advocacy doesn’t have to feel confrontational. My approach is calm, informed, and collaborative—focused on helping families communicate clearly with school teams while keeping the student at the center of every decision.
Whether you’re preparing for your first IEP or navigating complex needs over time, EmpowerED Advocacy is here to support you—so you can walk into meetings feeling informed, confident, and heard.
